We are working to establish a horticultural project in Narsarsuaq, centred on local cultivation.
Establishment in progress · Narsarsuaq, South Greenland

A place to grow and learn.
The ambition is to combine greenhouse cultivation with sheltered outdoor growing. Soil, water, sunlight and shelter inform the choice of crops and season — and an operation that can work locally.
The project provides a practical application for our microclimate and greenhouse work. Experience from everyday cultivation can feed back into development: what works, what needs maintenance and what should be simplified?

Three strands meeting in one place.
Arctic ilua develops the greenhouse itself. Microclimate work investigates sun, shelter and warmth around it. The horticultural project concerns cultivation and practical operation. They connect, while each has its own questions and next steps.
Where are we now?
Site visits, climate studies, models and concept sketches form the groundwork. Establishment planning now considers location, cultivation, utilities and operation. Production has not started; crops, scale and timing have not been finalised.
